Safety testing of cells and culture supernatants: Mycoplasma detection test
We will conduct a mycoplasma negative test on the sample using real-time PCR or the MycoAlert method.
We will conduct a mycoplasma detection test for samples such as culture supernatants. Our company offers a choice between two methods: real-time PCR or MycoAlert. <MycoAlert Method> This measurement method utilizes the activity of enzymes from mycoplasmas, which are present in the majority of 180 species of mycoplasma and not found in eukaryotic cells. <Real-time PCR Method (TaKaRa Mycoplasma qPCR Detection Kit)> Using the real-time PCR method, we can detect seven species of mycoplasma genes specified by official methods such as the Japanese Pharmacopoeia in about one hour. Additionally, we use a validated method as indicated in the "Mycoplasma Detection Test C. Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAT)" of the 18th Revised Japanese Pharmacopoeia reference information for cell substrates used in the manufacture of biotechnology-derived pharmaceuticals/bio-origin pharmaceuticals. Please feel free to inquire about acceptable samples, required sample volumes, prices, etc.
